Whether or not you attended this year's Seattle Wedding Show, we have some fun wedding ideas to share to make it easier to navigate it all in the year ahead. When we are planning an event we customize and curate everything based on our close connection with vendors, local trends and of course anything special you bring to the table. Part of planning is knowing what will work best with particular event types, locations and timelines. When we see a new idea, we take note so we can throw it into our repertoire. What is so fun about the Seattle Wedding Show is we get to mingle and mix with so many other vendors who are showcasing some of their best and newest ideas and products. We want to share some of our favorite ideas from this year that check all the boxes, on trend, timeless, unique, affordable, durable (mementos!) and easy to order (one stop shop!). We have our eyes on some very cool local vendors in all of these categories, so don't hesitate to reach out to us if there's something that piques your interest as part of your wedding or event. We created a visual list so you can pin it, print it or share it! What could be more fun than a cute, styled cart pulling up to your wedding with freshly crafted gelato?! Not only can it be dipped up in a cone, or served in a bowl (maybe that perfect bowl set from grandma's collection that says something old, something romantic (see inspiration # 5!), local vendors are now making gelato sandwiches. We are in love! There are so many ideas here. We saw some pretty amazing etchings done in glass, customized wood shapes, like northwest trees, for cake toppers and hand calligraphied signs that make us want another chalkboard! There are so many unique ways to create a special memento that will decorate your wedding day, and also your home together in the days after, from these lovely hand crafted works. What we really liked was that ordering and creating your own custom looks from your ideas, be it from a picture, your imagination or even handwriting from a special letter, is easier than ever. It's edible, it's gorgeous and it's amazingly fresh! Local doughnut shops are coming up with some great ways to serve dessert and make your wedding venue pop with this very delicious wall art! We chatted with some really amazing local talent and found that beauty influences from nature, and specifically from our almost perfect, just enough moisture in the air climate, are making for some really fun looks! We love to work with people who challenge themselves to try out new ways of working with classic day-of wedding services. Hair & makeup is a big part of not only your outside beauty, but letting you shine from the inside out, feel confident and comfortable and most of all able to relax, feel pampered and just let go on your wedding day. Romance is definitely in the air when we think of a wedding day, and right now we are really loving the alchemy of colors and textures that say "luscious", "earthy", "easy elegance" and "breezy romance". Think bare tables that tell a story, embellished with rich colors, billowing romantic dressings, natural textures and elegant signature pieces. Matte plates with hammered gold flatware, marble candle holders with black candles, bouquets that say forest and lost garden. Organic without any fuss.
